Hello everyone, dear participants,
We were ready and even mega ready. Then... during the night, a mega snowfall completely disrupted our organisation, forcing us to make a difficult decision: to cancel the Mega Bell Course 🔔.
On paper, receiving so much snow might seem like a godsend, especially given the sunshine forecast for Saturday. But on the ground, we're facing such a huge delivery of snow in less than 24 hours that the ski area has had to be closed today until further notice, with an avalanche risk of 5/5. The priority for our teams remains to ensure the safety of the ski area and access roads temporarily cut off by falling trees.
Despite our best efforts, this exceptional situation for mid-April means that we have no logistical conditions for preparing and shaping the races in complete safety. Between now and Saturday, when the weather is expected to warm up and there will be heavy snow in many areas, the priority will be to ensure the safety of the area.
The medals of the finishers and the bells were already shining, the bibs were all ready and waiting for you, and the teams from the tourist office and the ski area were looking forward to giving you a memorable day, because they had spared no expense or surprises of any size! As lovers of the mountains, we understand each other, and your disappointment is certainly on a par with ours. We hope you'll be motivated to come back again!
See you soon in La Plagne.
The organisers
Get the clock spinning (if you can 😏) on La Plagne’s wild and wacky fun areas: the Funslope, the Riders Nation boardercross course, the Jean-Luc Crétier slalom field, the YUGE slalom, the La Rossa boardercross and the obstacle course at Le Fornelet that has been specially created for the occasion.
Play to win. Or just play. In short, do whatever you do best and have a great time on your skis or snowboard!
There are two race formats to choose from (S or XL) so you can participate alongside all your favourite riders ❤️
Minimum age 8 (red run level) - Limited number of places: 800 race numbers and no more!• 3 really cool courses: an obstacle race (for the S format only), a ‘little’ run down the Funslope (but it is the longest in Europe…) and a waterslide (to dive in or not to dive in: That is the question)
• Minimum age 8, minimum ski level red run (it's going to be kickass!)
• Ideal if you want to race with your family, if you are a group of skiers and snowboarders of different levels or if you just want to have time to keep on riding in the afternoon once you have crossed the finish line (and downed your burger at The Roster)
• The race starts on 19 April 2025 at whatever time you want * (but we recommend you start at 9.30am maximum to finish just when you start to feel peckish)
• 5 really fun courses: 2 races shared with the S format (but a more difficult version, of course) + 3 additional courses where you can really set yourself apart from your rivals (a giant slalom and two pretty demanding boarder crosses!)
• Minimum age 12, minimum ski level black run (it's going to be tough!)
• Ideal for some fierce competition with your buddies, for an outstanding inter-generational challenge or just to explore every corner of the ski area in an original and very colourful way
• The race is on 19 April 2025 starting at whatever time you want * (but we recommend you set off at 9.30am at the latest so that you finish before you get too hungry…)
The Mega Bell Course is taking place right in the middle of the Easter school holidays (start of zone A, middle of zone C, end of zone B) and right over Easter weekend. It’s up to you whether you come to La Plagne for the week, for a (long) weekend or just for the day!
Don’t wait too long: the number of places is limited (400 S race numbers and 400 for the XL format, not a single one more). Make sure you get yours quickly!
