All registrations for the Mega Bell Course are individual. However, we have done all we can to ensure that you can spend as much time as possible with your favourite riders ❤️
There are two race formats (S and XL) so that everyone aged 8 and over who can ski a red run can enjoy themselves. Some of the courses can be done in a group (for example, a group of 4 people can go down the boardercross at the same time). You can also organise yourselves so that you are doing the same course even if you are different levels, since two of them are common to both formats (S and XL).
There are no problems, only solutions!
Either you all register for the ‘S’ format of the Mega Bell Course (so that everyone can have fun), or you register for the two formats (S and XL) according to your level. On the big day, the XL riders can start with the three courses that are just for that format, then you meet up a bit later at the start of one of the two courses common to both formats and finish together (and get to watch the exploits and epic fails at the waterslide…).
For anyone who hasn’t been paying attention:
Start: any time you want from 9am and from (almost) anywhere! Plagne Centre, Plagne 1800, Belle Plagne Plagne, Plagne Villages, Plagne Soleil, Plagne Bellecôte, Montchavin – Les Coches, Montalbert or Champagny-en-Vanoise, as you like.
We recommend that you get going by 9.30am at the latest for both formats (to be sure of finishing before the time limit of 3pm on the dot!).
La Mega Bell Course is 1 race, with 2 formats (S = easier; XL = more difficult).
Attention: you will not be able to change your race bib once your registration is finalized.
Don’t forget to check the "Add a ski pass" box if you do not already have a valid La Plagne or Paradiski ski pass for race day! Otherwise, you will not be able to use the ski lifts (and the race might become muuuch longer…).
No snow? On April 19? That won’t happen! 70% of the La Plagne ski area is more than 2000 metres above sea level. There is no risk of having to cancel the Mega Bell Course because there’s no snow. In fact, La Plagne is open until 26 April 2025, just in case you want to extend your spring holiday in the mountains after the event…
We have got some really cool prizes to win in both formats (S and XL): Salomon skis, Salomon poles, Racer gloves, Cébé goggles, ski passes, a summer holiday in La Plagne, a stay at Le Puy du Fou, entry tickets to Le Puy du Fou…
There will be a whole host of prizewinners: best times, age categories: youngest, oldest, mega loser, etc.
And even a giant chocolate Easter egg to win in the prize draw!
Take a look at the Mega Bell Course rules for all the details.
Race bibs and transponders are to be collected between Wednesday, April 16, and Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the tourist offices during opening hours: Montchavin-Les Coches, Montalbert, Champagny-en-Vanoise, and the Vallée (in Aime.)
At Plagne Centre, you can collect your race bib at the tourist office from Wednesday, April 16, to Friday, April 18.
On Saturday, April 19, from 8:00 AM, you can collect your race bib at Jean-Luc Crétier Stadium, Plagne Centre (at the Mega Bell Course village).
Make sure to choose your tourist office when registering to ensure that your personalized race bib is waiting for you at the right location!
It will also be possible to collect another participant’s race bib, upon presentation of a copy of their ID and the registration confirmation email.
Be smart: make sure to choose the same village for bib collection when registering...
If you already have ski insurance, that’s ok, there is no need to take out an additional insurance.
If you do not have ski insurance, we would always recommend buying it (the Carré Neige insurance is proposed when you register for the race and is worth paying for!).
You can do the Mega Bell Course on skis, a snowboard, telemark skis, a monoski or on handiski equipment. Do not forget your La Plagne or Paradiski ski pass! You can buy it when you buy your race number if you do not already have one.
You must have: a helmet + a charged mobile phone just in case you need to call for help. You will also need ski wear, of course (ski pants and jacket, gloves, etc.) as well as goggles or sunglasses.
We recommend you wear a back protector if you have one (especially daredevil kids…).
We also recommend you take clothes you can change into after the race (unless you are absolutely sure you are not going to end up in the water during the final run with the waterslide 😉). As well as something to drink, a snack and some suncream.
And why not dress up! It’s not obligatory but it is so much more fun🦸.
Nope! No need for a medical certificate to take part in the Mega Bell Course.
We are very sad that you do not want to join in, but OK, that’s fine (not really...we are totally hoping that you will change your mind by April 19).
But if you really prefer to be a supporter, you just have to tick a box on the registration form of any child aged 8 and over.
Either you use the situation to speed up and finish on the podium (it's as good a strategy as any!). Or you stop off at one of the toilets along the way (we have shown their location on the course map to avoid any dramas).
We are not providing lockers (since there is no single starting point for the Mega Bell Course but 5 possible departure points depending on where you start from: Plagne Centre, Plagne 1800, Plagne Villages, Plagne Soleil, Belle Plagne, Plagne Bellecôte, Montchavin – les Coches, Montalbert or Champagny-en-Vanoise). The best thing is to leave your change of clothes in your accommodation, or in your car if you are just up for the day).
You can ski back (if the lifts are still open) but you might miss the prize ceremony at 3.30pm… And that would be a real shame as you might be the winner of a giant chocolate Easter egg in the prize draw (or even find yourself on the podium).
Otherwise, there are special buses (you can book your seat when you register for the Mega Bell Course). What does it cost? 2 € / person, that's all.
You can ask the crèche in Plagne Centre if they have room for your little ones (5 months to 4 yrs). Or see our list of trustworthy babysitters in La Plagne (available from the tourist office: call 04 79 09 02 01).
A key question! We should have put this one at the top of the list!
Your registration for the Mega Bell Course gives you access to The Roster lunch spot at the bottom of the slopes in Plagne Centre (next to the finish line). In exchange for a token that you will be given along with your race number), you will get a burger (veggie or not), fries and a drink. How does that sound?
